Let Children Play
They stand on the field with their hearts beating fast
The whistle has blown, the die has been cast
Mum and Dad cannot help. they stand all alone.
A goal at this moment would send the team home
The ball near their feet, they kick and it misses
There's a moan from the crowd, some boo's and some hisses
A thoughtless voice cries "take off the bum"
tears fill their eyes, it's no longer fun
If you're ever tempted to shout or to groan
Remember it's a child who stands all alone
So open your heart, give them a break
It's moments like this, a player you make
Keep this in mind, please don't forget...
They're only children, not adults yet.
Rael Athletic as a club will always do its best to win every
game that they play in, but not at win at all costs attitude.
This attitude is not welcome or tolerated at this club from
coaches, players, parents and spectators. A child who is
supported and encouraged to enjoy their football no
matter what happens at matches and training will grow
as a player and a person and perform to their best of
their ability and have the best chance of acheiving
their goals in football. A child who is put under pressure,
shouted at, criticised and ridiculed will not want to do
any of the above and end up wanting to not play.
