Rael Athletic 2-2 Allport Kestrels

An early sunday morning start saw allport kestrells come to linksview.the boys were revved up for this game following a great win in the last game. The boys started quite slowly and went behind to a great allport goal from a corner. so 0-1 down at the first quarter. The lads in the second quarter picked up there game and started to get the passing going which forced a corner. hayden put the ball over to which allport failed to clear, ben put the ball back over to the far post where joe was waiting and smashed from an acute angle 1-1 game on!! unfortunely the boys were still celebrating when allport come straight on the attack to beat dylan from a rasping shot 1-2 going in to the last quarter.The lads were told just to get there passing going and to play it wide and they got there just rewards where ben made a great run up the righthand side to smash straight at the keeper but the keeper could not get his hands to it and rolled across goal for hayd to draw level!!!!MANAGERS THOUGHTS : the boys are starting to play some really good football now and starting to show what they can do I feel now we are in the right league for them and quietly confident they can finish in the top 3- WELL DONE BOYS!!!!

Ridgewood Colts 1-4 Rael Athletic

Here we are a pretty bleak sunday morning,a links view home fixture we welcomed Ridgewood colts for the first time.Whistle blown and we were off, straight away we were on the attack, using the left and right wingers in a well worked move, Hayden and Joe combined with great passing, Joe passed the ball to Ben and he was off like a shot, straight through their defenders striking the ball sweetly passed the keeper, 1-0 game on! The lads looked up for it and it shown with another very good move with all midfield players passing the ball well. Joe made another good run down down the wing and crossed the ball perfectly for Hayden to slot it passed the keeper, 2-0. The second quarter again shown how much the lads have progressed, James and Isaac mopped up any chance of Ridgewood scoring, Oliver as usual strong and comfortable on the ball ( a mascherano in the making!). The third goal came from Lewis's persistance, after hitting the post a couple of times he never gave up, his rasping shot hit the post again but Hayden was their to tap it in, 3-0. Half time came and a few changes were made, Kyle came on in defence after a long spell out with illness, but played his part very well. Jack was in midfield were he stood strong and kept Ridgewood from attacking. The last quarter the lads were still playing good football, our fourth goal came from pretty much the same as the others, good passing and awareness of each other. Joe picked out Hayden with a cracking pass and he hit the ball into the back of the net, 4-0. Give Ridgewood credit they kept on going, and shortly after we scored they went on the attack. With Dylan pretty much a spectator for most of the game he could'nt do much to prevent their consolation goal, 4-1. MANAGERS THOUGHTS : The boys played excellent today!! they looked like they were really enjoying themselves, a well deserved win, keep it up!
